Today, many of us experience art images primarily on the computer screen or in a book’s reproduction, coolly and cleanly excised from the aura of their creator. The tactile immediacy of my paintings provide a balance of earthy drama to such increasingly technology- and print- mediated lives.

Layered imagery finds parallel in hypertext experience, while letter forms often originate in ancient languages. Architectural forms find stability in a shifting grid, often in relationship to a reference to nature’s forms. Select paintings since 2005 or paintings 1990-2005.
